I knew that it was a matter of time before the Clinton campaign would be hurling insults at our own. After all, they warmed up and perfected the mudslinging at the African-American community. In light of Governor Bill Richardson’s endorsement of Barack Obama yesterday, Clinton strategist Mark Penn claimed, “The time that he could have been effective has long since passed. I don’t think it is a significant endorsement in this environment.” Penn was referring to the campaign timeline, where the heavily Latino states have already voted, but his comments imply that Richardson is insignificant outside of the Latino sphere of influence. I find this troublesome because Latinos should be able to be effective beyond states with large Latino populations.. why should we be pigeonholed into the Southwest? Richardson’s endorsement in Oregon is significant since the state has been the site of a bitter battle to name a street after Cesar Chavez. Latinos are approximately 11% of Oregon’s populations. Maybe Mark Penn needs to take note of who cleans his hotel room when he’s on the road and pay closer to this country’s demographics. After all, he’s a high dollar pollster and PR man. Shouldn’t he know by now that there are Latinos everywhere in the US?

As if Penn’s comments weren’t disturbing enough, James Carville decided to get in on the action today with this Judas comparison. “Mr. Richardson’s endorsement came right around the anniversary of the day when Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, so I think the timing is appropriate, if ironic.” I guess this reaction shouldn’t be a big surprise. The Clinton campaign has effectively written off Bill Richardson, at least publicly, but I do want to note how quick they change their tune when the darkies don’t fall in line and behave as they want us to. Carville has also been instrumental in pushing the anti-immigration STRIVE Act with Rahm Emmanuel.
I think that it is time for Latinos, other than Bill Richardson, to speak out about these tactics and assumptions that the Clinton campaign has been making. Are they that delusional to think that we are just going to ignore this kind of rhetoric? Why aren’t others in the Latino leadership speaking out about this? Come on Villaraigosa, Dolores Huerta, and Henry Cisneros! Say something.

None of this surprises me. The HillRod team discovered long ago that acting as if they truly cared about this demographic, they’d get the votes they needed. They were right, amongst those that cannot understand that they’re labeled and pigeon-holed long before they open their mouths.
As for Huerta, Cisneros and Villasinvergüenza, they’re hedging their bets on the chance that HillRod’s cabinet will include them. If Solis Doyle, a long time associate can be kicked to the curb, then these newbies might want to have Plan B in the works.
In any event, I’m still waiting for one, if not all of them, to tell me what this woman has done for me lately.

All HRC has done is tell lies…big fat lies. Isn’t it strange how the press and the network television media have been so polite to her? She has misspoken. She did not lie, Hillary has just misspoken. Well Hillary has misspoken about that trip to Bosnia, and she has misspoken about her relationship with Wal-Mart, Tyson Foods, and Monsanto, and she has misspoken about her U.S. Senatorial record. And she has misspoken about where she was and what she was doing when Monica was performing on her husband. And Hillary has misspoken about her relationship with the Bush Administration, and she has misspoken about her ties to the Kingdom of Dubai, and she has misspoken about her commitment to the Democratic Party, and her support of Rupert Murdoch and the FOX network. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Obama denies his white grandmother, lies about when his parents met, and wimps out by saying he would have left his church if
Wright had continued being the pastor. Wimp, wimp, wimp. A mi me gustan hombres con pantalones; Hillary no es hombre, pero si tiene tu sabes que. And, folks, Richardson es vendido. Es todo.
