Will someone tell Loretta Sanchez that Hillary Clinton lost?

August 16th, 2008 · 19 Comments

Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez has been telling the media that she’s happy to have a chance to vote for Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention. She also is predicting that half of the Democrats in Congress will vote for Hillary Clinton at the convention in the state-by-state roll call, although Clinton herself has said that she plans to vote for Obama.

Rep. Sanchez’s attitude reminded me of an article that the O.C. Weekly published about a year and a half ago, where they asked, “Is Congresswoman Sanchez a whore or—worse—a Republican?” The O.C. Weekly speculated that Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez may be a Republican in disguise given her relationship with the conservative Blue Dog Democrats, her support of amending the Constitution to ban flag burning, her desire to prosecute kids as adults, and chairing the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Border, Maritime and Global Counterterrorism, which oversees the big, bad border fence.

I don’t know why Loretta Sanchez is dragging her feet in supporting Barack Obama, the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee. Her sister, Congresswoman Linda Sanchez, has the good sense to support Barack Obama. But maybe Loretta Sanchez feels that her own legislative agenda would be more successful under a President McCain than it would a President Obama? Could that be the case? Or is she unwilling to read the e-mails indicating that her preferred candidate’s campaign imploded from within? Maybe it is all of the above.

I do know that there is an O.C. Latinos for Obama group that has within its membership some supporters and friends of Loretta Sanchez. I’m hopeful that one of them will show Loretta Sanchez the light.

i love how you find the most interesting facial expressions of congresswoman sanchez!
i would like to know what she thinks of the issue of divessiveness w/ hrc and bo. i mean, voting for hrc at this point, is not going to help… it makes me wonder how the democratic party will really do against mccain…

And there you have it, another corrupt politician.

Sanchez has always been cozy with the Clintons. She probably had a cabinet post or some other juicy plumb lined up if Hillary had won. Instead of a plumb, she has only sour grapes. She’s probably also feeling a bit alienated by rampant rumors that her opponent is about to go public with evidence of Loretta’s own little Edwards-like sex scandal. As for the affair, it is a fact. She has had a secret affair with a married man for years. The secrecy fell apart recently when the man left his wife and children and a successful military career for Loretta. Like Edwards and Bill Clinton, she’ll probably lie and deny and try to cover it all up, but in the end the truth will come out and her career is over. Maybe that’s why she is still so blindly loyal to Hillary–her career is about to implode too! Anyone else have a theory on why Loretta is pursuing this futile and self-destructive political strategy?

It is not right to say such rude and insulting things about Ms. Sanchez. It’s good that she is loyal to Hillary who has done a lot of good.

Obama people seem very rude and insecure. What are they afraid of? If they think their candidate is so weak, they should vote for a stronger candidate.

Delegates have a right to vote for whomever they want . Indeed, there has been NO official votes cast – that happens at the convention.

If Ms. Sanchez wants to vote for Hilary – she can, according to the rules of the Democratic party.

Indeed, being an ardent Clinton supporter myself who has no intention of voting for Obama in November, the votes cast for Hilary at the
convention are very important to me. I and other Clintonites want the Democratic party to officially record for history – that Obama “won ” by just a tad.
Clinton all the way in the 2012!

Loretta Sanchez, aka Loretta Brixey, Republican candidate for Anaheim City Council, should just come out of the closet and cease masquerading as a Democratic politician pretending to manage California’s District 47 from her corner at the Playboy mansion. As one of the most inept and nonproductive congressional representatives on the hill, if Loretta had any self-respect she would just fade away into oblivion. However, Loretta has no self-respect. As displayed by her public behavior and her inability to develop and push forward any legislation of any significance. Instead, she publicly parades her duplicity to hide her civil service incompetence and the fact that she does no work at all. And you wonder why Santa Ana is what it is.

Loretta Sanchez, or should I say Loretta Brixey’s lunacy seems to be right out of John McCain’s tactical playbook. The things this woman will do and say to generate attention. Why should anyone in Congress take her seriously when her public behavior falls along the lines of human guttural trash? Maybe Joe Baca, whose performance in Congress is nothing to shout about, has a point? However, Loretta has a lot of help in diminishing the fortunes of the City of Santa Ana. Mayor Miguel Pulido and his gang of profiteers have done their best to trash the city’s opportunities and emulate the cities of Huntington Park, Cudahy, and Pomona. Nevertheless, Loretta Sanchez/Brixey just further enhances the stereotype of the do-nothing, corrupt Latino politician.

Loretta Sanchez is infamous for saying and doing idiotic things. She did something similar to this against John Kerry at the last Democratic Convention in 2004. Maybe she is a closet Republican. That would explain alot of this idiotic behavior. This really says something about voters in the 47th Congressional district that they continue to vote for this Congressional representative time and time again? Maybe they’re all impressed by this telenovela behavior, and that’s what they want in a Congressional representative. Funny, how her sister doesn’t politically emulate her bombastic tirades or her public gutteral behavior. You’re right this Congressperson will do anything for attention…even humiliate herself to the point of being utterly stupid.

When she first ran for office -Anaheim City Council- in 1994, she was a Republican and used the name Brixey. Perhaps she’s simply returning to her roots.
Or perhaps she’s under the influence of the last person that held that particular office, the poisonous Bob Dornan.
    Anything is possible.

Will somebody tell Barak Obama that if he doesnt choose Hilary as his running mate, HE WILL LOSE?

Obama is sinking , sinking …
I guess all that money cant BUY the presidency.

Saw Sanchez on MSNBC and she needs to have a seat with her negative remarks. Obama doesn’t need anymore bashing from “in house” nor does our party or our county for that matter. Her simple song about his needing to ask her for support at this point in the game is just ridiculous …Get over yourself and start pulling LIFE together! No one has to beg for your support Sanchez, nor do we need to see your “silly” and “ugly” display of insecurity after the first day POSITIVE ENERGY from Senator Kennedy and Michelle Obama. You should be asking for help for HIS SUPPORT to help us here in California as it is being destroyed by Arnold. Get it together or get yourself another gig so someone else of with more promise, postive energy and dignity can serve us all for the better on what has become, “this bitter earth”….You are like McCain and the Repubs, totally out of touch!!

Loretta Brixey is a repulsive human being to begin with. She represents the conflicting values that plague the Latino political community. Her ideals, or lack of them, represent a duplicity that is so common with total self-service. She’s a Republican, who saw an opportunity to get on the public trough by masquerading as a Democratic and using her maiden name. How deceptive is that? Anyone who takes this person seriously needs to be medicated.

Can hardly stop laughing when I think about Sanchez saying she was thrilled to vote for Hilliary at the convention. Loretta like Mayor Villagaroisa’s judgement is as impaired as McCains.
Hopefully, Sanchez and Mayor V’s constituents will finally vote them out of office or force them to run on the Republican ticket.

Thank you for posting that link OC Latino :).

I’m still scratching my head wondering why Loretta Sanchez would not want to join such a wonderful group.
