What's with the eyebrows crack? You really do a disservice to latinos with these petty quips. You should be embarassed of the blatant sexism of this post. Ugh. For a moment there I was thrilled to find this site.

What's wrong with talking about the eyebrows? I'm not diminishing this politician's appearance. It is simply an observation. She might like her brows... I have seen pictures where her brows were more full, and she did look better in my opinion:

When you are representing your community, I think that you should try to look your best and that goes for the men too.

People make an issue out of Hillary's pant suits, headbands, hair color, etc. We are visual by nature. Some say that Obama is too skinny.

As for Grijalva... he looks like a brown teddy bear. We can critique his appearance if you want to... what do you think? It looks like he colors his hair too since his beard has more grey. Que piensas?

Is it really necessary to talk about her eyebrows? Why is a female politician's appearance always used to diminish her?

You didn't make one comment about Raul Grijalva's appearance.

Why don't you accord female polticians the same respect.

Congresswoman Velasquez was one of the few Latina women who spoke at the DNC, and was a co-chair to the Obama campaign. I love her story and rise to power, she will be a great leader and hopefuly a motivating change to the CHC.

This is definitely a step in the right direction. However, who is she going to lead? With the exception of Hilda Solis and Raul Grijalva, the rest of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus is pretty much dead weight. They’re nothing but a bunch of wannabe jefes with no agenda other than to collect their fat checks and plan the next gala. If Howard Dean really wants to outline future plans to truly bring about change and accountability in the Democratic Party, he should begin by targeting replacements for the majority of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
