Since people keep inquiring via google searches, I just thought that I would post some links with updates in the Esteban Nuñez case. As most are aware, former California Assembly Speaker Fabian Nuñez’s 19 year old son has been charged with murder, along with three other young men in the stabbing death of 22 year old Luis Santos. The issue has become politicized since some feel that Fabian Nuñez’s connections will influence the outcome of the case. Even Mayor Villaraigosa chimed in after Esteban’s arrest, saying that he is “a great kid, a good boy.” Nuñez was and still is, by some, considered one of the most high profile Latino politicians in the Golden State.
Here is the latest from today’s preliminary hearing in San Diego:

The information on these links do not look good for him…I’m sure his parents are concerned.

This has become such a non-story that it kind of makes me sad. Barely any news coverage, which I’m sure Fabian is absolutely thrilled about. The comments in here prove that so far.
Where is the outrage? A kid loses his life at the hands of this spoiled mocoso and everyone is already bored with the story.
I hope they are all bound over for trial and it becomes the public spectacle that it deserves to be. Fabian Nuñez and his brat need to be dragged through the mud and severely punished.

Have your heard what the possible defense is going to be? Nunez Jr. was told the party was for “greeks” only. Now anyone with an elementary education can figure that one out but not Stab Master/Arson Jr.. He thinks he was racially disrespected. I guess when your dad’s response to questions of improper use of political funds is to say “Because I am mexican people think I need to sleep under a cactus and eat off a taco stand” playing the race card is the logical step.

Sony Nunez isn’t dressed for a night out on the town without a knife. Whatever happened to cologne and deodorant? You have to admire his concern for his victims too. The Mercury News reported while driving back to Sacramento “Nunez tried to reassure Murray that he didn’t kill anyone and that he only stabbed someone in the shoulder.” So why not “burn clothes…throw knives in the river(?). This is as much a race issue as it one of class. My only question is should they be tried for murder or manslaughter? When you leave home with a dangerous weapon what are you planning anyway?

If there’s any justice, and there rarely is, this wannabe should be on trial for murder.

I find it really interesting that this preliminary hearing is getting almost no coverage at all, except for the KFI reporter that has been making 15-minute reports at the end of the day. It seems even the San Diego paper only covered it on the first day.
Don’t get me wrong, I think the kid is guilty as sin and should be convicted, but I’m actually starting to feel sorry for him. I’ll explain.
According to KFI’s Steve Gregory, after today’s hearing, all the family members surround Fabian, give him shoulder pats and encouragement to “hang in there”, as if he was the one facing charges, all while the culprit, Esteban, is off to the side, virtually ignored and staring at the floor. It this is true, that’s a very disturbing dynamic going on here.

No surprises here. They’re going to trial. http://www3.signonsandiego.com/stories/2009/apr/08/bn08nunez-held-for-trial/?zIndex=79541

No suprise. This is what happens when you are off tending to the business of being a corrupt poitician and then every excuse you have is based on playing the race card. This IS Fabian Nunez’s fault.

Of course this is not a race issue unless there is a green one called money. Perhaps when thug Nunez is sentenced for manslaughter (I prefer murder), do you think Poppa Nunez will finally vote for effective jail rehabilitation programs? Let me dream….

I know mayor Villaraigosa said , “he is a great kid , a good boy”, but he also said.
“Let me be clear — no one is above the law, … Not a politician, not a priest, not a criminal, not a police officer. We are all accountable for our actions.” -Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa

They are a mancha in the Hispanic community and I cannot believe that JUSTICE is not being upheld by those who proclaim and represent democracy in our country. Send that spoiled boy to jail so he can learn his lesson.

Since there is no more news, or Internet hits, apparently Esteban has slipped safely out of his legal problems.

More legal manuevers! Now there is another motion for San Diego Superior court, Department 56, FIFTH floor, on Monday April 12, 2010 at 9:00 am. The judge will listen to the latest excuses to postpone the trial. This is only for one more motion. The other defendants are still on the same case number SCD 217464.
Delay delay delay —Is justice delayed justice denied? Notice that NO NEWS MEDIA are discussing this trial. NONE OF THEM! Ask your self why this can happen in “the land of the free—and freedom of speech? All of my posts have been censored so far—and all I do IS GIVE VERIFIABLE FACTS from the COURT.
The Court telephone number is (619) 232-3486
Judge Robert O’Neil is presiding
And I still get censored for the TRUTH about this stabbing murder case—because baby boy has a powerful politician for a daddy. Maybe we will see L.A. Mayor Antonio there to cheer him on?

If this comment gets posted, I will try to get the Glenn Beck TV show and the Michael Savage and Rush Limbaugh radio shows up to speed—along with my previous UNPOSTED comments.
Maybe “they” can stir the pot — to let AMERICAN CITIZENS know how our system of justice and freedom of the press are being corrupted by LIBERAL politicians. The very idea of MAYOR Antonio Villa supporting a person charged with murdering a student with a knife !
