Latina Minuteman Loses in Chicago

April 7th, 2009 · 4 Comments

As a follow up to the previous post about Rosanna Pulido’s run for Congress, I thought I would update you on the election results. The Chicago Tribune reports that with 94% of the precincts submitting results that the Democratic candidate Quigley was ahead with 70% of the vote over Republican Rosanna Pulido and Green Party candidate Matt Reichel. This is a heavily Democratic district to begin with, but I don’t think that Pulido’s message would resonate in a large metropolitan area. Worth noting is the caption on Pulido’s poster via Wonkette — if you hover your mouse over the jpeg, it reads, “Crazier than Michele Bachmann on a Ny-Quil bender,” and I would have to agree.

I guess the six minutemen in my hometown of Chicago have not learned the time-honored Chicago tradition of voting early and often.

Is what makes her crazy something other than her minuteman affiliation? Better put if she was a “open borders” advocate would she then be a sane, rational-compasionate person?
