Mayor V. cut his deal with the Jewish lobby back in 1994. He has been empowering them since then with many plum appointments and more important business opportunities. Even though he's not smart enough to bring any thing new to the table they will protect him until 2013.

The article you refered to is just pay back for his support, along with Zionists Jack Weiss, Wendy Gruel, and airhead Janice Hahn, for the slaughter of Palestians in Gaza a few weeks ago.

In LA crime pays !

I'm curious if the Jewish Journal published their article independantly or as a response to the article in Los Angeles Magazine.

Now you can add public thief to the resume of Antonio Villaraigosa. Go to http://www.noethics.net./California_Reporter/assymiscabusedave.pdf

Los Angeles has always had social/race/class related problems. Broadway just didn’t resemble Tijuana’s main streets like it does now, which has brought the negative Latino immigrant issues out in the open. It’s been a long time since we’ve had such an inactive, hands-on Mayor, or a Mayor as cerebrally challenged as Villaraigosa is dealing with social/race/class related problems. It also doesn’t help that several of the city councilpersons who’s districts are predominately immigrant aren’t very active in their communities, or in finding solutions. However, of course the Mayor’s public behavior doesn’t really inspire that. Now does it?

Re: "You’re too inanely stupid to realize that the leadership, or rather lack of leadership, commitment, and absence of character that is Antonio Villaraigosa has allowed the city of Los Angeles to become what it is."

LOL

Millions of illegal immigrants have made the city what it is along with the economic crisis. What impact do you think it has on a city to add millions of unskilled people who can't speak English, or vote, and who use a large share of government services? Formerly middle class areas that used to have a solid tax base are now full of grafitti and populated by millions of poor people. Hmmm...I wonder why. Get a clue. I remember what these areas looked like before. I'm not trying to be mean, but we don't have the infrastructure to take care of all of these people. What is the mayor supposed to do? The feds won't help.

And you mention Tom Bradley. When he was mayor, Los Angeles was still a wealthy city with few social problems and lots of defense contracts from the federal government. Despite that, there was a riot on his watch, the biggest in US history.

That’s a good point. The Jewish community is simply protecting their boy by writing a positive article. But how far will they go for their boy?

People have been dying in the streets of Los Angeles in greater numbers than ever before. There are over 150,000 homeless people existing in and around downtown. What are you F*@#ing blind Anna? It’s become more and more of a obvious part of the landscape since Villaraigosa has sat in City Hall. He has turned one of the most beautiful cities in the world into a Third World metropolis. You can’t run the city of Los Angeles on 11 hours a month.

Anna, you’re the one who can’t separate soap opera issues from real issues. You’re too inanely stupid to realize that the leadership, or rather lack of leadership, commitment, and absence of character that is Antonio Villaraigosa has allowed the city of Los Angeles to become what it is. Every Los Angeles Mayor has left his mark on the City. Since Tom Bradley, each Mayor has left the City of Los Angeles in an improved state than when they first took charge. That is not going to be the case with Antonio Villaraigosa.

Right now the California budget crisis is threatening to destroy the schools and the social safety net, and Washington wil not intervene. The middle class and the poor, many of whom are Latino, are going to be destroyed by this budget. Some people are going to end up in the street or dead, and nobody in power gives a schitt.

This is a real issue, not who people are sleeping with. I don't know why you can't separate real issues from soap opera, tabloid issues. It's like an obsession.
