Rep. Linda Sanchez becomes ranking member of House Ethics Committee

January 29th, 2011 · 1 Comment

The LA Times reports that Congresswoman Linda Sanchez is replacing Rep. Zoe Lofgren as the ranking member of the House Ethics Committee. I think that this should be interesting. I find Linda Sanchez to be more on top of policy matters than her sister, Loretta.

Back in June, Linda Sanchez made a statement about the Arizona law and then backtracked a bit in terms of linking the origins of SB 1070 to white supremacists.

I am hopeful that Linda Sanchez takes her new role seriously and doesn’t back down when it comes to ethics issues and the House rules. She is in a position to distinguish herself and play a more serious role than her elder sister.

Your attitude toward Loretta reminds me of why blogging is awesome. You distrust her; she, no doubt, despises you; and America remains free!
