A Glimpse into the Race for CA’s 69th Assembly District

October 16th, 2011 · No Comments

The primary race for the 69th Assembly District in California is shaping up to be an interesting one. It’s a largely Democratic district, so whoever wins the primary is very likely to win the general election. What makes this race interesting is that two young Latinos are in the race, Michele Martinez and Julio Perez, and Tom Daly, the Clerk recorder of Orange County.

I was able to speak with Martinez and Perez, who are somewhat similar on their policy positions, but Perez is more obviously oriented toward labor. Check out the above linked candidate profiles, and let me know what you think.
